Worst reaction possible I think.
The fact it took 48 hours says even more than the (lack of) content adressing relavent issues. CCP is done with it's current player base, we're free to leave as we like. They are after a new market.

Quit your job, and lets all duckwalk back out of this *****.
Everyone else,
Remember when Goons gave a presentation and said we weren't out to ruin THE Game, bit YOUR game?
We totally lied.
Well played.

CCP have gone out to raise capital to pay for the staff they need for DUST and what not. In doing so, they drew up a business plan with the help of some third rate bankers and consultants with little or no knowledge of the subtleties of this particular MMO.
In order to pay for their financing they now need to deliver on this business plan, which includes increasing profits in a hockey stick-like manner over time. RMT would be a key part of making these profits real.
So in other words, there is no turning back...
Come on give me some brownie points for hitting the nail on its head! lol
Clearly correct, but the hockey stick formation is unlikely to occur if half the subscribers leave and the remainder don't ALL purchase the hell out of those noble exchange items (continuously, for years).
